At Mtn. Trails, we believe it’s important to give back to the community. We do this by organising and participating in public events, activities and developing public infrastructure.
Our team work with young people to build confidence, develop workplace skills and encourage community spirit.
We also support and partner with local Tasmanian businesses to develop social and competitive opportunities for the mountain biking community.
We seek to encourage physical activity and position Tasmania as a leader in outdoor experiences.
Blue Hill Trails
Risdon Vale Bike Collective
Mtn. Trails partnered with Risdon Vale Bike Collective to design and construct a BMX park and series of bush trails in Risdon Vale, Tasmania. Opened in 2015, these facilities were developed with the help of young people to encourage participation and ownership of resources in their local community.
By involving teenagers in the the BMX park project, the participants gained experience in a professional work environment and developed confidence. The project has also provided a place for locals to be active, build valuable connections and community spirit.
The Risdon Vale Bike Collective is an important initiative that supports young people to build a better future in and around their neighbourhood.
Avantiplus Hellfire Cup Race
Storm Bay Promotions
Hellfire Cup Race is a four day mountain biking event held at Kellevie, Tasmania.
Mtn. Trails, together with Duncan Giblin, was responsible for the design and construction of the race circuit with the aim to challenge, exhilarate and excite both the novice and professional rider.
The bi-annual event is a community initiative, run in partnership with Duncan Giblin that brings together cyclists from both Tasmania and interstate who share a passion for mountain bike riding.
The trail is paired with facilities such as food and beverage vendors, showers, camping grounds, an on-site mechanic and live entertainment to ensure riders are well equipped to compete (and to wind down!).
